Addition I

When working with these operations it's very useful to picture numbers in groups... to fragment them into smaller numbers with 5's and 10's as the main parts. Try imagining blocks. For example, visualize an 8 as a 5 and a 3.

A 7 would be a 5 and a 2:

When adding, imagine you want these blocks to fit and form groups of 10.

8 + 7 = 15

Now try,  9 + 6 = 15
