Neural Networks/GA hybrid

The combination of GA's with Neural Networks (NN) is one interesting hybrid that has been proved to be very successfully.

Instead of the regular back-propagation algorithm for NN training, GA's have been used to determine the synapse’s values that minimize de output error of the network.

Basically, the problem is to determine the shapes and sizes of the antenna’s elements in order to direct most of the energy in the desired directions.
